Fall Review Part - 2

Celine

I love how the new Celine's clothing is so simplistic yet beautiful. There's this quality to it that makes it look so luxurious in a totally non-de script way. It's strange how people can lust after goods that can seem so basic and well, restrained. But really Pheobe has amassed a huge number of followers eager to buy into the Celine look. The funny thing though is that usually the kind of thing that grabs the attention of the fashion world is something new age and embellished. Something from Alexander McQueen or Louis Vuitton. But lately there has been a definite shift towards more wearable clothing, and I think that is why Celine has become so popular. It surprised me when her Spring collection caused such a stir. I could definitely see that the clothes were georgous, but they were so subdued, so un-lustworthy. Though after seeing the collection a couple of times, I started to understand what all the fuss was about. All the clothing was beautifully cut in luxurious materials such as leather and practical ordinary materials such as cotton and canvas. They were so wearable that you could practically see yourself them hanging them in your wardrobe, wearing to your friends dinner party or to the office as they waltzed down the catwalk.

I think that Celine compensates for it's simple outfits with amazing shoes. The type of shoes that are so perfectly shaped that  you just want to stare at the perfectly contoured soles, the soft and supple leather and their sturdy heels all day long. That's what I would do anyway. Aahh long days gnawing heels... *sigh* WAT who said gnawing on heels???!!! not me that's for sure...
